Middle School Summer Reading List 2006
Most of these titles were suggested by the children. The categories were determined after much discussion, and with the recognition that many of the titles could be put into more than one category. The children also suggested the ages at which the books listed might best be heard or read and enjoyed. An asterisk indicates that the book is particularly good for reading aloud to children younger than the age suggested. Most of the authors listed have written several other books, and most of these titles are available in the Bank Street Library. It was not possible to list all of the wonderful suggestions the children made. Titles in Bold are new to the list this year.
